A most impressive stay was had. The close personal input from all staffwas most positive.It was clearly understood that these people have areal passion for the continued operation of this light. Being , encouraged to view the light at night, to watch the amzing beams of light search out into the black night,was a great experience- one not to be missed.

Cape Schanck Lightstation
This was the final night of our 3.5 month trip, and it was wonderful to have such a warm welcome, and then to have such privacy in a beautiful setting. The accommodation was very comfortable. After many weeks of living under canvas in our camper-trailer, the thick walls of the white house were a great respite from the weather. The night at Cape Schanck is amongst the highlights of this trip. The friendly, welcoming and informative staff members were a great asset! Thank you all.

It was fantastic of an evening to be able to sit below the lighthouse knowing that you were not going to be disturbed by anyone, just you and the sea. Very peaceful and beautiful location. Will recommend to many friends.

Cape Schanck Lightstation
It was hard for us to find somewhere for a large number of couples.This was perfect. The cottages were fantastic! They really suited our group. The walks were great and we found the area very interesting. The staff are most obliging. An all round terrific weekend! Thank you!

Fabulous wind swept isolated location, but still only 12 kilometers from “civilization’ if you need it. Phones don’t work here! Excellent-can’t get me! Make sure you do go out after dark and watch the light keeping silent vigil. Recommend to anyone that is “over” little boxes in the sky called hotel rooms.

What a fantastic experience! We loved it. Accommodation was very clean and comfortable. The lighthouse and surrounding walks are wonderful, breathtaking scenery and something I will definitely be recommending to others.

Cape Schanck Lightstation
The Museum was very interesting. We enjoyed staying on such a prestigious "Heritage Site".
The sunset and birds coming home to roost were amazing. The peaceful surroundings are something to treasure.
Toast by the fire on our first evening and a comfortable bed ensure a really good nights sleep.

The moment you walk or drive into the lighthouse area there is serene feeling of tranquility. Immediately you know this is a special place. Your body relaxes and you find yourself whispering as you listen to the sounds of nature and the ocean.
The lookout at our Museum Cottage was like being back on the bridge of a ship.
The staff are wonderful and promote that great feeling. Thank you Sue, Mike and Natasha for making our stay so memorable. Look forward to meeting the rest of the crew another time.

My husband and I stayed at your Lamplighter Motel on the weekend of September 21-23 in a newly renovated room with fabulous new bathroom.
Your staff were very friendly and helped us with directions of the local area, the meals in Balloons Restaurant were tasty and just the right serving amount.

Lamplighter Apartments
Our sports team of 18 kids and 6 adults stayed in 4 of the Lamplighter Apartments for a week in August, we found the staff were only to willing to help us, our apartments were serviced well by the housemaids and are well maintained, staff were very helpful with extra requests.
A pleasure to stay and we will be back next year

Monash Terrace Apartments
Our family recently stayed at your Monash Terrace Apartments for 3 nights from 5-8th October for a family wedding, on our arrival we were greeted by a cheerful Natalie at reception, who gave us useful directions of getting around the Clayton/Oakleigh area with a local map, she also was very obliging by giving us the local train times for going into the city and ticket prices, which was big help.
We found the apartment to be cosy and a nice place to stay. We hope to return soon.

When we arrived at Cape Schanck Lighthouse we were immediately special. We were given a key that unlocked the gate and then locked the rest of the world out.

A seductively secluded location! Awe – Inspiring views with a history to match. Take the time for some walks and photographs. The lighthouse at night is a sight to behold, as are the sunsets. The history was fantastic. Well worth the stay!

Lamplighter Motor Inn
Myself, Wife & 2 other couples stayed at the Lamplighter Motel for Country Golf Week, we all stayed in the same type of double room.
The good thing apart from being close to the golf course is that the rooms have been sound proofed which blocked out the majority of the sound from the road, we also had renovated rooms which looked fantastic.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good in the morning, we ate together in the motel restaurant, we had help yourself continental breakfast, just what we needed to start a long day on the course. We all will be back next year to do it all again.
